Overview
A job platform for applicants and recruiters.
Team project in Django for Georgia Tech's CS 2340. The assignment was to build one system that works for both audiences without one side feeling like an afterthought. Applicants search and track their applications. Recruiters post openings and manage candidates.
Applicant flow

List view
Browse jobs. Filter by title, company, skill, work type, location, salary, and visa.

Map view
See where the jobs are. Pick home or current location, drag the radius slider, and markers filter live inside the circle.

Track your applications
Every application shows its stage: Applied, Under Review, Interview, Offer, Closed. Search across them from one page.

Kanban view
The same applications as a five-column kanban. Read-only, but the fastest way to see where things stand.

Recruiter flow

Post and edit jobs
Create postings with title, description, skills, salary, address (or remote), and visa. Drafts and closed are separate flags.

Manage applicants
See who applied and drag their card between Applied, Under Review, Interview, Offer, and Closed. Status updates through the API.

Recommended candidates
Applicants ranked by a match score. 60% skills, 35% education, up to 5% for location or remote. Only Available Now or Open to Work show up.

Candidate search
Search by name, skills, education, or location. Filter by availability and message candidates directly.

Technical decisions
Privacy is per-field
Every applicant has per-field privacy toggles for skills, education, location, phone, and so on. Everywhere the profile is shown to a recruiter (public page, search results, saved-search matches) respects those toggles. A recruiter can't see or match on a field the applicant hasn't exposed.
Match score
Recommendations rank applicants against a job by a weighted score: 60% skills overlap, 35% education (degree level and subject match), and up to 5% for a location match or the job being remote. The same scoring runs in reverse for applicant-side recommendations. Only Available Now or Open to Work applicants are eligible.
Map filter
Every job is pinned by lat/lon on the map. Pick your origin (home address or current location) and drag the radius slider. Each job's straight-line distance to the origin decides whether it stays inside the circle. Remote jobs always show.
